Oratory Competition Organized by Vijaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha and Vijaya Development Resource Center
In a joint project organized by Vijaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha and Vijaya Development Resource Center, the oratory competition on Positive Thinking for Personality Development took place on December 16, 2019 observed 150 people.
Rijusa Bhattarai, Shri Nepal National Shamsher Adarsha Secondary School, stood first position in the school level competition of Gaindakot Municipality. Pradeepti Kandel, Vijaya Samudayik Siksha Sadan stood second position. Lakshmi Sharma, Kalika Model Secondary School stood third place. The contestants had been given Rs. 7000 in cash and certificates, Rs. 5000 in cash and certificates and Rs. 3000 in cash and certificates for the first, second and third successful orator respectively.
The assessment coordinator of the competition was senior poet Gobindaraj Binodi having chairman of the VYCCU Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited cum executive director of VDRC-Nepal Keshab Prasad Sapkota and Acharya Laxman Bhandari in a assistive role.
Acharya Laxman Bhandari, in his motivational speech, stated that possible pass forward with high-quality thoughts with developed character where each person has to pay regular attention to things as humility and cheerfulness. Speaking at the program, Basanta Raj Lamsal, chief executive officer of Vijaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, said that the students have been required to expand wonderful wondering and his willingness accomplishing such packages at future. He said that in the coming days, we should move forward by developing positive thinking. A band of child orator Sahara Sapkota and Prakriti Neupane also added motivation speech focusing on child rights, violence and role of youth.
Speaking on the program, Keshab Prasad Sapkota, Chairman of the VYCCU Savings and Credit Cooperatives Limited cum Executive Director of the Vijaya Development Resource Center, said that positive thinking is the basis of personality development.
This competition was organized in two phases. In initial phase, 7 outstanding students were selected through an oratory on financial literacy with the participation of 50 students from secondary schools within Gaindakot municipality. Initial phase conducted on November 7, 2019 include Aditi Kaphle (Saraswati Secondary School), Amrit Poudel (Vijaya Samudayik Siksha Sadan), Tilakumari Poudel (Narayani Secondary School), Nirdesh Timilsina (Janak Secondary School), Pradeepti Kandel (Vijaya Samudayik Siksha Sadan), Rijusa Bhattarai (Nerashamsher Secondary School) and Students of Lakshmi Sharma (Kalika Secondary School) were selected for the final phase. The event was contested by a total of 17 students from 12 schools observed 50 people.
